HR Administrator

Build Your HR Career. Make an Impact. Be Part of Something Great.

Are you an organized, people-focused professional who loves keeping things moving, solving problems, and making a difference? Are you looking for an opportunity to grow your career in Human Resources while gaining exposure to all areas of the employee experience?

Whiting Door is looking for an HR Administrator to join our team!

This is much more than a traditional administrative position. As an HR Administrator, you'll play an important role in creating a positive employee experience from the moment a candidate joins our team through onboarding, development, and beyond. You'll work alongside our HR team across recruiting, onboarding, benefits, training, employee records, HR systems, compliance, and day-to-day employee support.

You'll become a key resource for the HR team—helping keep processes organized, information accurate, and employees supported. You'll also have the opportunity to identify ways we can work smarter, improve processes, and continue modernizing how we deliver HR services.

If you're someone who takes initiative, enjoys learning, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants a career—not just a job—this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

What You'll Do

  • Be a key member of the HR team by providing administrative and operational support across a variety of HR functions.

  • Help create a great employee experience by coordinating important activities from pre-employment and onboarding through ongoing employment and offboarding.

  • Prepare new-hire materials, orientation schedules, benefit information, policy acknowledgments, and employment documentation to ensure new employees have a smooth start.

  • Coordinate the administrative aspects of new-hire orientation and help create a welcoming, organized experience for new team members.

  • Maintain onboarding and introductory-period tracking, including 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins and probationary performance reviews.

  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, documentation, and employee follow-up.

  • Serve as a go-to resource for routine employee questions, providing helpful answers and connecting employees with the appropriate HR team member when additional support is needed.

  • Keep employee records, training information, certifications, and required documentation accurate, organized, and confidential.

  • Coordinate employee transitions and offboarding while partnering with Payroll, Benefits, IT, Operations, and other departments.

  • Support HR technology and system improvements through data cleanup, testing, workflow updates, and process enhancements.

  • Monitor HR requests and communications to ensure employees receive timely responses and follow-up.

  • Look for ways to make HR better by identifying repetitive work, process gaps, and opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and the employee experience.

  • Cross-train across HR processes and provide backup support to help create a strong, collaborative One Team environment.

  • Protect confidential employee and company information and appropriately escalate sensitive or complex matters.

  • Take on additional HR projects and responsibilities as opportunities arise.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

At Whiting Door, we believe great people are the foundation of a great company. We're looking for someone who wants to learn, contribute, grow, and be part of a team where their work matters.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of Human Resources

  • Work alongside an experienced and collaborative HR team

  • Build your knowledge of HR systems, processes, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations

  • Help improve and modernize HR processes

  • Develop skills that can support your long-term HR career

  • Make a visible impact on the employee experience

  • 2–4 years of Human Resources experience, or a strong administrative background with demonstrated success and increasing responsibility.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A strong sense of urgency and commitment to follow-through.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
